Terms of service
Last updated: 25 March 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By using the CRA Guard WordPress plugin or this website (getcraguard.com), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our products.
2. Description of service
CRA Guard is a WordPress plugin that helps plugin and theme developers track their compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (Regulation 2024/2847). It provides checklists, document templates, and compliance tooling.
3. Not legal advice
CRA Guard is a compliance assistance tool. It does not constitute legal advice and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. The information, checklists, and templates are based on our interpretation of the CRA and related guidance. Regulatory interpretations may change as enforcement guidance is published. Always consult qualified legal counsel for advice specific to your products and circumstances.
4. Licence tiers
The free tier is available at no cost via WordPress.org. Paid tiers (Personal, Developer, Agency) are annual licences managed through Freemius. Licence terms, refund policies, and payment processing are governed by the Freemius terms of service in addition to these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the plugin beyond what the GPL licence permits
- Use the plugin for any purpose that violates applicable laws
- Redistribute paid features without a valid licence
- Attempt to circumvent licence validation
6. Intellectual property
The CRA Guard plugin is released under the GPL-2.0-or-later licence. The website content, branding, and documentation are copyright of the CRA Guard Team. Document templates generated by the plugin are yours to use freely for your compliance purposes.
7. Limitation of liability
CRA Guard is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this plugin, including but not limited to fines, penalties, or losses resulting from reliance on the compliance information provided.
8. Data and privacy
All compliance data is stored locally in your WordPress database. See our privacy policy for details on data handling.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of CRA Guard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
